Sometimes we want to look better so we invest in exercise, clothing, accessories, . . .and some of us in our society in even more radical and expensive solutions. We work hard to improve our skills so we further our education or specific training.This helps improve our career position, and usually our life situation, as well. We also spend time and energy and money to upgrade our property and adorn our homes.
These verses from Proverbs focus on what we do, how and why we do it. There are many parallels illustrating the differences between those who love the things they accumulate whether material or knowledge, and those who love to learn about the changes God can make in our lives through instruction and spiritual growth.
