The Anointed Son to be Kissed - Daniel Holmquist - Psalm 2

2009-11-29 by

The Messianic Psalms are often arranged in two groups: those about his life and those about His kingship. This Advent season we will be considering two of each of these types along with Psalms that are referenced by the New Testament. The Advent hope contained in Psalm 2 is this: the Lord God will establish His Messiah as King over all the earth. 2009-11-08 by

The Philippian church was a uniquely generous church in prayer, the giving of resources, and the sending of people. There was no other church like them in partnership with the Apostle Paul that we know of from the New Testament. Their strong spiritual bond of Gospel partnership would be a model for all partnerships. We are to be affectionate in those partnerships that God has formed by His grace. Gospel partners desire God’s best for one another until the end.

2009-11-01 by

The Apostle Paul and the Philippian church leaders and church members have been church planting partners now for the past 6-12 years. After founding the church, the Apostle Paul made a number of further visits to them. They sent people and generous gifts to him more than once. And there would be future visits by Timothy and the Apostle himself. We should take joy in our Gospel partnerships as a church, for the strong spiritual bond of partnership is a good creation of God.
